Master Technician
Josh joined the team in 2004 and quickly became a cornerstone of the shop, graduating with honors from the Santa Fe College Automotive Program in 2006. His expertise spans everything from foundational mechanical systems to the complex diagnostics of today’s high-tech Mercedes-Benz models. Known for his calm focus, deep mechanical intuition, and the kind of patience that can only come from years under the hood, Josh is truly the best at what he does.
Operations Manager & CFO
Since joining in 2017, Tyson has played a key role in keeping the shop firing on all cylinders—balancing service advising, workflow coordination, and business strategy with sharp focus and follow-through. Backed by a Master’s in Accounting from UF, he’s the bridge between the front office and the shop floor, making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Whether it’s a customer question or a business decision, Tyson handles it with precision and purpose.
Service Manager
Ryan is the friendly face you’ll meet at the front desk, helping customers feel welcome the moment they walk in. As Service Manager, he keeps things running smoothly—ensuring no detail gets overlooked. With a calm demeanor and strong sense of organization, Ryan brings a personal touch to every interaction and plays a vital role in keeping the shop connected, efficient, and customer-oriented.
Technician
Tristan is a talented and passionate technician who works closely alongside Josh to tackle everything from advanced diagnostics to mechanical repairs. Focused on mastering the latest Mercedes-Benz technologies, he approaches each job with patience, precision, and pride. Known for his methodical mindset and unwavering reliability, Tristan is driven by a deep respect for craftsmanship and consistently delivers top-tier results that customers and teammates trust.
Owner & President
With over five decades of hands-on experience, Frank turned a lifelong passion into reality when he opened Star Import in 1984. Though he’s stepped away from the tools, he’s still here every day—offering wisdom, sharing stories, and keeping the spirit of the shop alive. Frank’s legacy isn’t just in the work—it’s in the trust, loyalty, and family atmosphere he’s built from the ground up.

Dot has been the quiet force behind Star Import since day one, handling the books, balancing the operations, and keeping the business running like clockwork. Her knack for organization and numbers is unmatched, but it’s her kind spirit and no-nonsense attitude that truly define her. Whether she’s managing payroll or chatting with longtime customers, Dot brings a sense of stability, warmth, and heart to everything she does.
